I'm going to take a risk and say 16.0. I fear it's quite a risk though hoping for the Azores H influence. Thanks GW

My Question is as to Weather Forecasting: Is the Future Always set in stone or can Events in the Present Change the course of the Future?

Junes ending in a "6" tend to be on the warm side. I think the CET average of a June ending in a "6" is 14.8

4 of the top 5 warmest Junes on record end in a "6"

Thanks GW for running this competition, I'm sure all participants are very grateful.

Can anyone remind me of the stations that comprise the OFFICIAL CET figures?

Thanks

p.s. Is the key to the averages posted above correct or is the numerical data correct as the 71-00 and 81-10 LTA's contradict eachother?

The official CET consists of Pershore, Stonyhurst and Rothamsted all equally weighted. There are some adjustments made to the raw data in order to make the series consist with the past (e.g. to take account or urban warming heat effect etc.)

The last four days in my location have been colder than parts of December in terms of maximum temperatures. And with a northerly wind it certainly felt like it as well. It really has been an awful week in these parts in stark contrast to many western areas where it has been really nice.

Also worth noting that the maximum CET for the whole of April was 11.74C. This was colder than both November 2015 (12.34C) and December 2015 (12.33C).

We can see the East / West split in the CET maximums for the past 4 days. The maximum temperature at Rothamsted has been dismal - about 6C lower than further west and north
