Sun just cannot get through this infernal cloud. So my 8th day in a row with no sun.

Longest dull period I can ever remember was January 1996 with 20 days.

Never known a late spring early summer period with 8 dull days in a row in East Anglia.

Just starting to brighten up properly with sunshine finally breaking through! But at 17 C and the wind still coming in from the north east, it might be too late for daytime warming, but hey, the low cloud is going.

Take a look at RainToday website now and watch a cluster of convection bubble-up over North Cheshire. Bit of thunder, lightning & brief heavy rain, but only over a tiny area of the UK - which just happens to be right over MBY.

FFS!!

Still, it's been another glorious day and it waters the garden   (not had rain here for about a fortnight). Temps remain over 20c (car temp was showing 25c late this afternoon.
