Edit: 17.00 BST = High cloud approaching from the SW - marking the edge of the instability from a trough trying to encroach from the west ...

  Like Twister, I too can see the convective stuff over France but they have that "staying over on the other side" look about then.

That high cloud which is mainly over the west atm is making the sunshine hazy, temp. maxed out at 25.5 C - warmest day of the summer so far  Frustrating for us storm fans seeing those distant cb's that just stay there lol! I've seen tcu's and cb's to the NW of here for the last three days now, in the late afternoons! That trough out west is stuck there - maybe it'll trundle across later in the week, ahead of the traditional June 'Return of the Westerlies'
