I'm not doing well at all this year.  Must try harder!

Only two days left then we'll be on the July thread.  Where has this month gone?

I'm surprised it's stayed so high, as it's been pretty cool the past few days up here

The last few days of June are going to be quite cool. But overall this month has been significantly above average temperature wise.

Currently my CET estimate for the whole of June is 15.34C. That would make it the warmest June for 10 years (2006: 15.9C).

With relatively cold seas always (never mind the B movie blob in the Atlantic) in June, maybe we should respect June's spring-like characteristics, rather than be truly seasonist and call it a summer month.

Here are the charts for June. A warm month although some places had their wettest and dullest June on record.

The maximum temperature anomaly was only about half that of the minimum. So it was very warm nights that made the biggest difference.

Thanks GW.
It's quite impressive that 57/63 (90%) in the competition have errors averaging <1C/month.
Perhaps even more impressive is that 49/63 (77%) have errors averaging <0.75C/month!

Which means it's ranked 58th warmest, just so we're clear (CET ranks coldest first). This is warmer than 1959, 1984 and 1997, and more significantly 1975, 1989, 1983 and 1995.
