Yeah it's normal after warm days...
It happens here because warm pockets & cool pockets begin to mix... Like gardens & built up streets in cities.
Also the mainland is still very warm so for example E/NE wind would bring warmth with NE but E will mix with cooler sea air.

I see it frequently with changing air-masses in winter- but I'm now at 25.5 and the wind is really light( there is more cloud now heading in from the WSW, but I understand that the cloud reduces the speed with which temperature falls away, rather than actually warming things in summer, or is that too simplistic?)
Last year on 1st July there were early dips and falls by a few tenths, resulting in a very warm night. Looking at the synoptics I'm wondering if the radiative nature of the near-surface warmth is tempered somewhat by the increase in the uppers- close to 20 tonight.
