Our low was 15.5 C last night. Cooler, cloudier weather has arrived here with a few heavy bursts of rain last overnight. Still, we got to 27 C here yesterday, which I would only expect to see one or twice a decade in this location. It's just about as warm as I've ever recorded reliably here.

Elsewhere in Ireland, it managed to reach 30 C at one Met Eireann station in the midlands. Again, a once or twice in a decade event I would say.

Last night was cooler then the night before down here, but the cooler temperatures didn't occur until after 8am so does this count??

Highly doubtful with temperatures at the 850 hpa level quickly dropping away as the French plume gets shunted eastwards away from the UK, not to mention cloud slowly increasing in from the west along with winds veering into as a south west. I think 28 C over London is probably the best we could manage for today.

I've recorded a minimum of 23.7 C at 5.30 am last night but I think the sensor may have been picking up residual heat from a brick wall. But right now a freshening south west breeze is getting up providing relief even though it is still fine and sunny at this end.

Highest min not being shown on the metoffice website (other 3 extremes are), is this a sign that its a record and its having to go through more rigorous verification?

Us here on the south Kent coast are still struggling to shake off this thin low cloud/thin mist rolling in from the Channel with temperatures being pinned down at 21 C under a fresh south west wind. But to be honest, I'm so appreciating this cooling breeze. I think that's enough real summer for me - now I know why I'm never keen on it as I do feel rough after last night (woke up at 3 am soaked in sweat and thought I was going to be ill).
Like I said before, I do appreciate a nice drop of sunshine and a bit of seasonal warmth to gladden the soul, but the past 24 hours was a bit too "in your face" for my own liking. Kinda reminded me too much of my old tomato greenhouse days.

At this end I have both my hobby room and sleeping quarters windows open and the net curtains are flapping about in the wind. This be like me right now . . .

Currently 21.5 C with a slight mist trying to roll in from the Channel.

Xcweather seems to show a bunch of 30*C readings across central parts?

On mobile so can't check actual numbers to confirm without looking up countless individual station reports. If I had the time... 😛
