Calm, foggy - vis. around 200m, 17.3 C .. exceptional weather for mid Sept.! A return to 'normal' conditions will be quite a downer!

Astounding stats from Dover.  Overnight "low" of 21.3 - easily an ALL TIME record, let alone September.

Currently 21.7c.  Thermal lag?  God help us!

13C with fog and patchy drizzle - light NNE wind.

As it got dark yesterday there was a lot of flashing from storms at least 20 miles away west of the A1 mainly.

Fine and sunny as well as continuing to be bone dry. My poor lawn is dying a death in this light drying easterly breeze and the lack of real rain in what is now weeks.

22 C and 62% humidity.

Some sea mist and broken low cloud is trying to roll in from the Channel along with a bit of a breeze. Appears to be the case along the entire length of the south coast going by satellite images at the moment. It is providing a bit of welcome freshness, though.

Cloud all around us, but we're in a nice clear slot so it's been unbroken sunshine since dawn. A change in wind direction has suppressed temperatures, currently 18c with a DP of 15c.
