A good way to find private stations close to you is to download the Davis WeatherLink app - available on iOS and Android. You can select stations to see their data and you get current conditions, daily, monthly and annual extremes. I find it very useful. You can see live data from my station using the links below.

Since the sun is now at the equivalent of mid-August, on a clear day the UV should quite easily get up into the 5s now in Manchester. Due to the hazy sky today however, we've been stuck in the mid-3s.

3.3 today but i's now looking cloudy on Monday after all the hype, with Wednesday currently favoured by the Beeb to produce 7s...even in Winchester! Fantastic if it happens.

Today's UV is not as high today as it was yeasterday (so far) at a top index of only UV 5.3.

I'm thinking that the reason behind the high indexes forecasted for the uk are a result of pockets of low ozone.

Today we were forecasted a UV of 7 which for early May is a tad high, wouldn't normaly expect those indexes until late May - another 2 weeks.

Index of 6 today. For an olive-skinned individual such as myself, this is perfect.
