Some amazing posts here...Dougie, although I,don’t know you in person, these past few days as I carry on with the ordinary, mundane things of life, my thoughts have been often turning to you and just wondering how you are, and whether you are able to read any of these posts...I just wanted to say a heart felt thank you for sharing your journey all the way through until almost the very end...May you find a sense of peace at the end of your life and know that you’ve lived life well and brought immense comfort and challenge and ultimately huge huge respect and admiration for your courage, honesty and fortitude..God Bless you, Dougie and thank you.

It's cloudy here today Dougie. It was damp this morning, even though the pressure was reasonably high.

Hey Dougie, it’s cold and miserable out there today. Much nicer here indoors in my pj’s. I hope you are comfortable where ever you are. Thinking of you xx

I got very excited a moment ago Dougie; clicked into this thread and saw you'd posted again.

Then realised it was page 1 of the thread.

If you're having trouble posting, Dougie, can you ask one of the nurses to update us?

Dougie, if you're reading this thread, I just wanted to say that I & everyone else here are thinking of you at this time.

Evening Dougie. It’s been a day of working and washing here and I’m happy to do such things because I’m able to do them.  I can’t complain when I know you’d give anything to just do something normal.  Perspective eh?

I don’t know if you are able to read this.  You said in your last post that your time was limited and you’re clearly not well enough to post but I sincerely hope you’re comfortable and not suffering.  We have no way of knowing and we may never know. That’s how it goes on forums and I knew that when I started this thread - forever the pragmatist!  Yes, as much as we’d like news from you, the most important thing is that you’re being looked after.  Whether you’re reading this or not, I’m sure you know how much your friends on TWO are thinking about you.

Night Dougie  xx

Unless someone wants to try I'll call them tomorrow and report back with any news.

In the meantime my thoughts are with you Dougie, if by any chance you manage to get on-line.

His surname is Eades. That’s all I know. I really don’t know if they if they will give out that information but it’s worth a shot.

God bless you Dougie; an end to your pain.

You've all talked about Dougie's steely resolve and his courage. I think part of that came from all of you- with limited family, you made sure he wasn't lonely at the end with all your posts and wishes. Thank you, especially Caz. I feel humbled.

It is incredibly sad but I am pleased that he could share his experiences with us and I hope that brought him some comfort towards the end, knowing that he was in the thoughts of people from all over the country.

I will always think of Dougie when I look at the Current Conditions thread in the Weather Forum - just a little thing but it’s often through those “little things” that we remember people.

Thank you also Caz for starting this thread.
