23.5C down from a max of 25.6C earlier... feeling very humid with some cloud about. Caen over the water in France is taking a hammering and is having a storm fest, my island however seems to be 120 miles too far to the west...

Bizarrely the temperature is still on the rise here, now up to 24.8C, the dew point is rising too @ 19.3C and it does feel more humid.

Highest temperature of the day here, 26c with DP of 18c. Had we not had cloud all morning I'm sure we would have reached 30c.

Yet again I had to suffer an horrible afternoon stuck in an office as the sun beat in only for more low cloud to roll in at 4:30pm


Currently vile outside and inside. 15.9C, cold and grey out and 28.4C stuffy and unpleasant inside. Just awful

A stunner of day. Was 25 c by 0900. Maxed at 29.9, making this the 3rd warmest day recorded behind 19 072006 and 30 06 2011. Been recording since 2005. Currently 28.2 as warmer uppers head in its likely to stay hot very late today.
Dover, 5m asl. Half a mile from the south coast.

Complete contrast to this morning with low cloud, a breeze and coolness. This evening is very humid though I enjoy humidity so it feels great!

Observations between 7.15 pm last night and 7.15 pm currently.

LAST NIGHT: Mainly clear.
THIS MORNING: Hazy sunshine and only variable amounts of high cloud.
THIS AFTERNOON: Hazy sunshine.
CURRENT: Hazy milky-looking skies as a cirrostratus-like layer begin to fill in the sky.      24.8 C.             56% humidity.         Dewpoint 15.4 C.         Light north east wind (I can tell it's coming in from there as the net curtains in my west-facing hobby room are blowing outwards).          Falling slowly to 1009.0 mb.

WINDS: Light with occasional breeze north east the whole time.
AIR QUALITY: Good.
VISIBILITY: Fair to good. Haze. 
COMFORT FACTOR: Very warm and muggy but there was something of a breeze which took the edge off things. Continuing tinder crisp bone dry where it is as arid as a dingo's rear end.
RAINFALL (in mm):    Nil.
TEMPERATURES (in C):           Max: 28.5 at 2.15 pm.           Min: 19.5 at 4 am.
PRESSURE (in mb):                Max: 1011.6 at 12 am last night.           Min: 1009.0 currently.
