If anyone gets a chance to get a picture of this by any chance - It would be good if they could post a pic or two on here.

Have already posted mine in that other thread, but might as well stick it in here - at least to make it worth getting out of bed at 2 am, getting pneumonia and running the risk of being mugged.

You can just about make out that small streak to the left of Pleiades. I took dozens of photos and this was the only one that showed a shooting star, wasn't as easy as it looked!

This was taken from The East Cliff at Folkestone (about 15 minutes walk from my house) . . .

I can't see it Ian - but at any rate - It's a good pic of the stars and nice and clear. I am guessing you must have used a tripod for this.

Indeed, I did, Gavin. As well as having used a remote shutter cable so that I can have the shutter open for as long or as short as I like while on "bulb" mode, along with not shaking the camera by touching it (I could use the timer but it's easier using the cable shutter button).

On a closer second/third look. Yes - I can just see it.

It's a great photo. Very nice - and well done.

The BBC Look North (Newcastle) here had some good ones featuring a rather weak display of Northern Lights as well as meteors.

I went on over to Flamborough Head for a few hours a couple of days before the peak and managed these two of passing satellites. No idea what the top one was but the bottom one was the International Space Station. Not great but it'll have to do as it's all I got.
