I have been uploading forecasts from summer 2007. Looking back at them, it was amazing how active the atmosphere was during early June to late July. I remember when it rained, it was frequently torrential.

I remember July 20th well - never seen rain like it. My unofficial measure using a straight-sided glass on the table outside showed over 80mm in about 6 hours of torrential rain, and I missed the start of it! I see it mentions Hook (nearby) recorded 19mm in an hour just before the forecast. Also they spelt Witney wrong... tut tut BBC 😉

Summer 2012 was even wetter than summer 2007 here!

I didn't see the point of Daniel Corbett where wellies stood in a few inches of water to do the forecast. No point at all.
