We just had a heavy shower in Hook. Where did that come from? I thought today was supposed to be a dry, sunny day!

Looking at the radar, it looks like a streamer of showers has set up from the Severn Estuary, forming off Barry and then marching due east past Clevedon, Devizes and on to Basingstoke and Hook where I currently am. Looks like places either side are having, and will continue to have, a dry day.

Sunny. Some  cloud around.. Temperature reading 18.6c on my hillcrest. Elavation 521 ft.

The sunny breaks we are getting, along with a light south westerly wind is enabling temperatures to get up to 18.2 C in the shade over here.  The longer I can hold off wanting to turn the heating on, the better it is. Especially now that my energy provider has just jacked up their prices.

The childhood novelty of a proper cold and snowy winter is fading thin with each passing year.

Hi, Ian! A sunny morning here, followed by a short showery spell this afternoon. Now back to sunny periods. Currently 13.8C, the max. was 15.4C. Pressure has steadied @ 1012mb and the very light westerly winds have dropped out completely. High cloud now encroaching from the SW and turning that sunshine hazy. The novelty of cold and snowy winters has worn off for me, now that I have to pay the bills   

Sunny spells, light breeze, temp around 17-18c going by Chivenor temps.
