After what seem like weeks of mild weather dominating the weather, a cold snap arrived during mid November 1995 giving snowfalls to northern and eastern parts of the UK.

It was a good winter in the end, so the press hype was correct for once!


December was superb and so was February

The 'normal' RAC rally (as was) cold spell.
Similar this year too - there does seem something about that period arond 20th - 25th November.

The end of December was exceptional to the point of disbelief and early February saw 8 inches of snow here, for many years that was my record fall until the 11 inches in January 2010.
