Clouding over after a clear start,
There were some icy patches first thing, after the overnight rain (I discovered...)

Fair 3.8C. Beginning to cloud over a bit. Very icy first thing as last nights rain froze.

A covering of frozen snow at my mums up in Highland Perthshire this morning.

Rain.... 5,78c. Light breeze...Unsettled..

Heavy snow, strong SE wind and max temperature of 0 degrees celsius.

Unfortunately, it will turn mild tomorrow and the snow will melt.

If Copenhagen cannot hold onto the cold weather, there is absolutely no hope for the UK whatsoever!

That's a good indication of this winter really - and when you think how much further to the east Denmark is.

In fact going much further east I've noticed Moscow has had daytime temperatures not much below 0C.

At this time of year its usually -10C or lower in Moscow - this year its been 1c 0c or -1C or -2C - nothing special at all.
