I drove over Chat Moss on that windy Wednesday, as the M62 was snarled and the A57 queuing from where it goes under the big railway bridge. I went New Moss Rd, Moss Rd, Woolden Rd, to get to Holcroft Ln. Did I go anywhere near chez Kev?


Tell you what, though - never again. Those 'roads' are in a sorry state.

My phone's map thing was showing it to be a road. That's rather to grand a description.

That first one looks like a case of Alder dieback.
It's quite active round here too, the solution seems to be coppicing as mostly older trees die from it.
