A shower has rattled through thus made it all wet again. Now quite overcast with a keen north easterly wind picking up but at least it's shifted this humidity anyway.
19.4 C with 85% humidity.
I don't know about you and I'll probably get lambasted for saying all this, but this is certainly not being a "vintage" summer at this end. Yes, we had some nice weather last week where I've got something of a tan to show for it, but otherwise this is turning out to be a rather forgettable summer as far as my back yard is concerned.
Something has gone a bit awry when Southern Scotland ends up experiencing a far better summer than my Kent coastal location which is the nearest point to the Continent!
But that's what happens when high pressure kept being parked off to the west of the UK rather than off to our south east, we end up with a "faux" type summer.
Or maybe my expectations are being too high and I need to take off my Summer 1976 glasses and look at it from a different perspective.
Still, the lawn is looking lovely for it. That's one saving grace.
