Google Spheres are 360 degree panoramic photos that as well as going all the way around, can also potentially go right up to the zenith and down to your feet as well; made using various techniques but mostly using a Mobile Phone or Tablet Camera running Android 4.2 or above. They can be added to Google, supplementing the Street View imagery for roads and some tourist attractions that Google adds themselves.
