We often get these fog banks hanging over the moors but the sun is still strong enough to clear them for now.

It's actually quite windy so it's unclear if this effect is fragments of foggy air wafting over from the Vale of York to the south or (more likely IMO) the fog is generated as the moist air is chilled rising over the moors - in the same way as a real mountain often retains a 'cloudy' cap.
