Hi All, just to get in the spirit of Halloween and that we are on the brink of some spooky warmth for this day I thought it would be nice to have a light hearted thread on weather events that were weird or strange, if the mods don't like this please delete.

I will start - I was laying around the pool at my hotel when I went to Tunisia 2 years ago and it was a gloriously hot day with clear blue skies. I was just sipping on an ice cold beer when I heard a rumbling in the distance. I didn't think much of it as there was some work going on in a nearby hotel but then the rumbling got louder.

The rumbling became more and more persistent and then it started to rain so it must have been a storm but the skies were clear and the sun was still beating down. I looked all around but there were only a few fluffy clouds in sight and there were certainly no signs of a storm approaching. It was sooooo strange and an event I will never forget!!

Not sure if this counts as spooky, but I'll always remember the thundersnow of January 2004 (it was 2004 wasn't it?). Mild sunny day, then 5 minutes of heavy rain, then, well, thunder and snow.
