Lots of us enjoyed a great day on the 31st and I made sure I got a couple of hours to get some pictures as I knew plenty of people would be out enjoying the weather.
First picture is of a palm tree full of fruit. This Trachycarpus Fortunei (Chusan Island Palm, Windmill Palm) normally fruits in June and it did but its fruiting again now in fact nearly all of them are. Its pretty much being mild now since last summer as the winter wasn't cold at all here so there's being more growth and fruit than usual. The date palms have seen incredible growth although all the different types of palm have benefitted from lots of sunshine, lots of rain especially through the winter, and consistently mild temperatures.

Second Picture is of a Canary Island Date Palm and again T.Fortunei. Most people on the 31st were wearing t's.

Third picture is outside a new complex on the seafront that replaced the old Palm Court Hotel. You can see two of the four tall date palms outside the building and that they have been tied up for winter.

Fourth picture is the balcony of a new french bistrot at the other side of the new complex. Plenty of people enjoying the weather and eating outside. In this picture you can see the other two of the four tall date palms and again you can see that they have been tied up for winter. This is a seafront location, check out the amazing reflections of the sea across the road in the windows!

It was great to get out and take some pictures in the warmth, and everyone was so relaxed and enjoying themselves it was a great atmosphere.
