Fine, clear and calmer winds. Not bad for a "weather bomb".  But my location does tend to be on the "lee side" of such a westerly airstream anyway.

A shame it isn't going to stay like this for too long, though.

Just had a conference call with some folks in newcastle. They confirmed they have had a snow shower though they said it doesnt feel that cold today.

Here in Liverpool its bright and very clear.  Notable lack of strong winds.  Looking at smoke from vents on some of the roofs, looks to me like a west north west wind no more than 15mph dropping to no wind.
