I drove the 20 minutes or so from my home up onto the Peak District, with some simply stunning scenery. I've seen snow drifts deeper than today but then I couldn't get past Leek by car, but today the roads were clear which gave an opportunity to enjoy the snow.
It was all topped off with a stunning sunset as below by the Cat and Fiddle with an eerie mist peeping through. People were literally abandoning there cars in the road to take some photos, I've never seen it so busy before.
It felt at points like we were in the mountains of Scotland or something, just a clear blue-sky all day. In Buxton the snow was pretty deep, several inches at least, a proper winter wonderland.
