Rather than dig out the older one I thought I'd post a new thread for some potential tomorrow afternoon and evening.
The weakening low moving SE across the SW Midlands into the SE Friday pm brings a surprisingly stout flow at low and middle levels from the west once the main trough clears midday.
Within this airmass are LIs of -3 and a lobe of vorticity generated by about 500 CAPE, and running over the top some coldish uppers - enough in the afternoon and evening to generate convective parcels capable of heavy showers and a few short-lived thunderstorms.
