Hi John! It actually turned out a lot brighter than I thought for most of today - at least until 3 pm when the cloud finally became thick enough to produce rain for the rest of the day.
  However, what I did find boring was the return of the near-gale force southerly wind which had the effect of picking out every possible draught there is in the house despite my best efforts to seal all gaps.
