I must admit - it did feel milder outside at +3.0c when last week it was 5 or 6c and freezing in the wind.

Cloudy and is quite damp (97% humidity) due to last night's bit of rain, even the cloud base is low enough to shroud them thar hills. However, winds are much lighter and thus the current temperature of 6.9 C doesn't feel quite so cold.
