Sterling and Delph v strongly linked too city. IMO neither strengthen their XI and are likely to bench warmers.....therefore the national team suffers.

Sterling can be a cracking player. He was outstanding (especially for his age) in 2013/14. He's got the potential to be one of the best players in the country. But he'll need to kick-on to fulfil his potential. I can see why Citeh really want him and, with their dirty Sheikh cash, can easily afford the gamble. They're just trying to lowball us.

Unless Citeh stop playing the knobheads & pay close to the asking price (£50m), I can see John Henry digging his heels in & letting Sterling rot in the reserves for 2 years. Let's see whether he can get £150k/week after having his career totally derailed, the spoilt, ungrateful brat.

I can't see how he could ever continue his career at Liverpool but, if he did come back with his  tail between his legs, Liverpool should insist he sacks his retard of an agent first.

Sterling gone for £49m - and the cretins on Bluemoon are gathering into a circle-jerk because they've not paid the £50m Liverpool were after.

Like I said, I'd rather he'd stayed here & became a legend. But there's no guarantee he'll kick on, here or anywhere. £49m is a hell of a price for 'potential'.

I love the Firmino signing. Hate the prospect of spunking £32m on Ben-frigging-teke

If we could have got Bacca, then brought in either Kovacic or Illaramendi, then I'd have been a happy bunny.

Rodney Marsh was clearly on drugs when he said if Sterling is worth £49m Kane is worth £120m.

Saying that, Kane is certainly worth more than Sterling.

I think the Pig-farmer signing is one of those vanity things. He's struggled to win back his place at BM after niggling injuries, and I can see him playing only around a dozen games a season for you, and then only showing glimpses of the player he was.

10th July 2015

Fabian Delph rumoured to be having a medical at Man City after they agree to meet the buy-out clause

11th July 2015

Fabian Delph publicly announces that he's staying at Villa, to captain them into the new season. He wants playing time & to show his loyalty to Villa.

Much celebration amongst Villa fans and plaudits for him putting actually playing & loyalty to his club before more money

17th July 2015

Fabian Delph signs for Man City

What a sh*t sport this is.

He's a regular in the England squad, coming into the prime of his playing career, adored by his fans - and already earning enough in a year to set him up for the rest of his life. If he has another 7 years pocketing a reported £2m+ a year, he'll have enough (assuming he isn't a cock with money) to retire at 32 and live the rest of his life like a Lottery winner.

Yet he chooses to let his career fade into bench-warming obscurity, for his England ambitions to effectively end, and to be despised by Villa fans he'd given false hope to. all just for even more money he's unlikely to be able to spend.

Nuts.

Any thoughts on the top 4 next season....?

I dont think it will deviate from Man U Man C Chelsea and Arsenal.. tho i go for a top 3 of The manchester Clubs and Chelsea in no particualr order. Man U will certainly be stronger.
