Hi folks,

Here's the week ahead forecast video

http://www.gavsweathervids.com/forecasts.html

Here's the Written "Thought's".

http://www.gavsweathervids.com/written.html

A fairly warm and dryish week coming up!

We'll have Terry Scholey's mid to mid forecast coming up this evening @ GWV.

Tomorrow it's "Solar Sunday" which I'm quite excited.

Keep looking out here for all the update's as they come through.

Thanks as ever for your support and to Brian and the Mods too.

Edit: Here's Terry Scholey's mid to mid forecast: http://www.gavsweathervids.com/terryscholey.html

Thanks guys.

Fan, I think with the flow going more "Continental" this week, you should get some drier/warmer conditions in Buxton next week.

OK, here's Terry Scholey's mid August to mid September forecast;

Warm late summer? Or staying "fair to middling" until start of Autumn?

Here's our latest "Solar Sunday" update;

Solar activity continues to reduce but what could this mean for next Winter?

Edit:

The "Solar Sunday" update has been added to the SC 24/25 page and has a written summary if you can't watch the video:

Good stuff Gav, a winter like 1895/96 would be fine by me with lots of variety for all. 😁

Thanks SC!

Just to say it's 1885/86 that's the match for this coming winter in terms of SC 12 and SC 24, not 1895/96.

Thanks Gav. Brilliant as always. Your videos are just superb....everything in laymans terms easy to understand and passionately presented.
The solar cycle similarity with SC12 is uncanny and perhaps bodes well for an interesting winter.
More to the point, I think I recall in one of your previous videos that we are about to enter a period of significant solar minima and that could perhaps impact us significantly in the coming years.
Certainly very interesting research Gav. Keep up the good work..just terrific

Gavin,

I thoroughly enjoyed your solar Sunday video and the comparisons between cycles are very illuminating. (no pun intended)

I think you can add another (perhaps minor) matching criteria from the comparison graphs, cycle 24 matches cycle 12 in every aspect where cycle 12 recorded a negative anomaly winter.

I do think we move into Solar minimum our chances of cold winters will increase again.

Terry's forecast for this Summer has been spot on overall, I think!
