12.2c and finally a rare commidity, heavy rain 7.2mm so far. Typical we've been needing proper rain for a while and it arrives on the one day I have off on holiday to take the kids out!

10.9C, rather patchy light rain has given 0.6mm, but looks like carrying on most of the day.

Temp is 11.3c at the moment, but a strange thing was that you could hear motorway traffic over half a mile away as if it was just down the road, must be something to do with moisture content in the lower atmosphere.

Overcast with light rain, I've had lots of people poking me in one other certain social web page asking me if conditions will improve in time for the Spitfire fly-by at 1 pm. Joys of trying to forecast a stalled front in a slack set up.

15.8 C and 85% humidity.

I'd forgive all this if it is part of an Atlantic intrusion as it is something we do expect given our mid-latitude but all this came in from the east. If it is January, it'll either produce some snow or it'll just be cold drizzle in laden grey skies. Either or, this "cold spell" wouldn't last very long anyway as the Atlantic stuff pushes back in.

The rain is still slowly pushing westwards... how long before it stalls I wonder.

A bit of a novelty having the weather in reverse today - been sunny all morning and only just starting to cloud over now, 18C. Looks like SW England and much of Wales could last most of the day with sunshine as well.

14.2c here in light rain. A shockingly cool and miserable day and one to almost rival that ridiculously cool and wet Sunday back in late July.

Some fantastic cloud features this evening as the sun sets.
