Just had a burst of heavy rain here at Folkestone at 9.30 am as the decaying front moved over Kent. Only lasted about 10 minutes but it gave me 5 mm in that time, a real lawn soaker. Now just cloudy and damp. 17.9 C.Oh well, that recent dry, bright and sunny spell was nice while it lasted and at least I made good use of it.PS: I can see bits of blue sky towards the western horizon.
Bright, odd showers, mild in light winds, 17c.

Showery light rain here atm - some 12mm has fallen overnight. Light winds and temp. popping up to around 17 C in the brief sunny intervals. Pressure @ 1002mb.
Edit: 14.05 BST .. recent downpour dropped 6mm in 5 minutes. Now sunny, 14.8 C
Grotesque, atrocious filth for the 10th day out of 12. Absolutely sick to death of it. Grim and sunless with persistent rain set in during the last 2 hours. Vile temperatures of 12.4C - the same as it was all night
The outlook for the next week makes me want to scream and swear. Putrid crap for which no words can do justice except to say that even the worst of months never had the relentless awful misery like this day in day outthat has become the norm in the past decade. Certainly not here at least. Just in lands unfit for human habitation
Turning out fine and sunny now, just in time for the air show but it is rather windy which all sped up the drying process after this morning's bit of heavy rain. It's just as well that I stopped at home anyway as the Typhoon jet almost gave my mother a heart attack. Also just peeled the cat off the ceiling. 18.9 C with 71% humidity but there are still plenty of solar input to properly warm up the house.
Some heavy showers continued after the main rain band went through. Very dark sky, looks like another heavy shower on the way.
Today`s rain now 16.2mm
Temp 14.7C
Pressure 1005.9mb
