Early mist/fog cleared by 08:30 to cloudless sunny skies, fog quickly set in towards dusk.

The dense fog from Manchester has finally crept into Western parts of the valley. Visibility is down to 50m in some patches. Half a mile down the road clear as a bell.

A warm and sunny day for a time with a maximum temperature of 17.8c. Remarkable. The breeze veered from a relatively dry easterly to a moist southerly at 3.30pm bringing back low cloud and a corresponding fall in temperature. It was 11.5c by 4pm.

Today was sharp contrast to yesterday . Fog lingered all day although the sun appeared for all of 15 mind. Turned really dense after 3pm. Max 11.6c. Currently 8.4c

Fog has vanished again. I thought it was here for the evening. Could be a third sunny day in a row for Glossop. Temp is 8c
