Always a must watch as they show the trends in the 6 to 10 day range along with pressure patterns
I even remember John Hammond a while back I think showing a chart very similar to what Gavin Partridge uses in his videos detailing temperature ensembles and the ensemble as well as explaining model uncertainity
For this reason I think it's even better than the long standing Countryfile forecast which just depicts maps for the next 5 days
Still a good guide for country folk which is what it is all about.....
Nightly BBC weather forecasts at 21:55 are better - because the BBC weather presenters always show the jet -stream pressure forecasts near the end (6-10 days ahead!) unlike in Countryfile. - also by the time you get to the middle of the week the weather pattern could have changed and Countryfile is only on once a week. - So as a consequence, you get a less accurate forecast! When did they start doing this nightly weather for the week ahead on the BBC news channel? - I've only been following it occasionally for the past few months!?
If you just saw the forecast by John Hammond then all would agree that the nightly weather fore the week ahead on the BBC news channel is a lot better than the Countryfile forecasts. - Best one I have seen all winter so far.
Don't forget to watch it tonight on the BBC news channel 21:55 - I am sure they will show the jet stream pressure pattern for the 6- 10 day outlook.PS - 356 views on this topic but two responses? haha.
People still watch the forecast on the telly?
