Afternoon  - thought people might be interested in a test weather cam set up using YouTube Live. It allows a 720 or 1080p feed at 30/60fps and seems to fit well with a weather cam set up. Mine is up and running at:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ubf5HDhbGTA with a write up on it at http://www.digitalurban.org/2016/01/streaming-urban-data-youtube-live.html

Its meant to be viewed in full screen at 720p via the youtube options - this allow the data dashboard to be viewed alongside the 30fps cam...

Happy to answer any questions as needs be, just need to put a polarising filer on the cam next (its a logitech 930e),

It's just loading all the time - too many hits? Is there a limit?
You can do live streaming on youtube routinely now, but not usually on a semi-permanent basis - it's even possible to stream live video at 720p from a phantom quadcopter at least if you have 4G.

A quick update on the YouTube Live Weather Data/Cam experiment - its been quite stable through the last 10 days and now auto creates time lapses eveyrhour and at the end of the day. The embedding is still experimental is seems, but direct from YouTube runs well:

The aim is to provide an HD, 30fps ever changing window on the weather...
