Coldest night of the winter so far. Braemar dipped to at least -13.3°C a couple of hours ago.

Here currently it is just below freezing with snow showers.

Cold and wet. Yesterday we had wet snow/rain most of the day, frustratingly close to a good snow event, temp never rose above 3c......

Chucking it down with rain here - the "lake effect" is in full flow as heavy showers are bubbling up over the Thames Estuary.

3.4C, dew 3.1C, so not even a tiny hope of as much as a flake of sleet.

0.5C, fairly clear, but has been a sort of graupel hail shower giving a light cover.

Mostly sunny, it's -3 with a hard frost again. Smattering of snowflakes from overnight and a wee bit of frozen snow from yesterday. The snow covered Pentlands look amazing in the rising sun. Wish I wasn't working today I'd be up there!! Maybe tomorrow.

Rather cloudy, recent light rain. But there is a tad more brightness than yesterday (can see slivers of blue sky). 5.6 C, warmer on this time yesterday.  85% humidity under a light north east breeze.

What a waste of a perfectly good winter potential.

3C with a light to moderate NE I think; hard to tell round the buildings. Sun breaking through on and off but definitely does not feel like anything other than winter. Brrr.

There have been frequent heavy showers all morning, all driven on by a stiff NE'ly wind.

Still, I suppose it's better to have rain and 5C than rain and 1C, at least this way I'm not thinking "damn, if only it was a degree colder"...
