Of all the winters that I have experienced from Irlam, winter 2009-10 was my favourite. Here is a pictorial history of that great winter

There were a few flurries of snow that left a partial covering on the 17th December 2009.

Great pics Kev from a great Winter  seems ages ago now  To put things into perspective the last time I used a snow shovel here was in Winter 2012-2013. It has been poor for decent depth snow since then!

By mid January there was a great deal of snow on the moors, and it had been mostly below freezing up there since New Year.

This was as nothing compared to what followed at the end of 2010.

A fantastic winter. Thanks for sharing. There was a patch of snow on the Downs between Ashford and Maidstone that lasted from the original fall on 17th December until the second week in March.

Actually the 23rd looks the best; 'winter wonderland' looks to have worn a bit brown by Christmas Day. But a fantastic picture chronology nonetheless.
