Does anyone have 2 digital weather stations - and find their temperature readings differ a bit ?

Is it safe to calibrate the temperature for the one that is most inaccurate to the one that is more accurate in closely matching official recording stations nearby

Has anyone done this - does it solve the problem - or does it just increase errors in temperature measurement for the calibrated device

Thanks

You would need to monitor them over a range of conditions and decide for yourself what's best.
The construction of the enclosure and station itself will cause varying degrees of lag and one may be more accurate than the other at different times.
The specifications will indicator an expected accuracy which is unlikely to be much less than 1C

Precise temperature comparisons with other nearby are a minefield at best of times, we have all experienced noticeable changes just walking a few metres due to different exposure.
