We have had a few snow showers here this afternoon but not really anything of any significance.

Hopeless, pitiful, lame and embarassing pale imitation of what a northerly used to bring which was a plethora of showers with only short gaps in between resulting in rapidly accumulating snowfall.

Now this is the what we get. More a case of count the number of flakes than the number of centimetres 🙄

What logical explanation could there be for this nonsense yet again? There just isn't one. Looks like what you'd expect from a westerly with the mountains eating up all the precipitation. Should be no difference between west and east with a northerly flow. Never was in the past. Should be lots of frequent showers right across the region.

At this rate will be lucky to see anything more than the thinnest of coverings which will melt almost instantly as soon as the sun comes up 😠

A nice light covering of snow on all surfaces here in this part of the city after the recent shower. It will be interesting to see how many more we catch in the coming day or so.

The few heavy snow showers have caused disruption in a big way around Rothes with stuck lorries and cars, we got about 5 cm pretty quickly but no large amounts to speak off. Will, see what it’s like in the morning , -3 and dropping quickly now.

The rain has turned sleety here, with some splodgy flakes mixed in.

2.1C / dew 1.1C.

I'd imagine that over the Downs (c. 200m) it's now falling as wet snow...

EDIT: Snow on the ground on the traffic cameras at Blue Bell Hill, near Chatham - around 175m.

Rain and sleet in North West Hampshire.  Big flakes and settling on grass by the time I got up to The Ridgeway.  Sleeting c*rap here in South Oxfordshire  (Near "Deadcat") which seems to be petering out.

Dusting of hail here, -2C and quite windy but mainly clear.
More snow showers closer to the coast no doubt.
