The problem is how the brain allows you to pick out one conversation in a noisy room, now replicated by an AI system which works out where sounds are coming from, and filters out those from irrelevant directions.
I find this is of interest, because as I get older this filtering out has become much harder to the point that it is really difficult to talk to anyone against a noisy background although I can hear the same person speaking perfectly well if we're alone. I suspect it's because an ageing brain can no longer do the necessary processing fast enough.
