7.4C, cloudy, light W-ly wind.

Not raining at the moment but last night some very heavy rain on a NE-ly - quite unpleasant driving back from Winchester and trying to pick out deep puddles and potholes from water just running across the roads

Really quite nice out there - partly cloudy with strong morning sunshine, just a light breeze, and you wouldn't guess we'd had over an inch of rain yesterday.

It's presently a mild feeling 12.9/dew 11.3, but judging by the very dark clouds to the west that's all going to change very soon!

That's odd.  Just 25 miles NE. . 7.5C here. Bitterly cold here in the strong breeze and still raining on and off. Been no sun here.
if it had been January would have been 20cm of snow overnight. Always get our most snow (and rain) on a front moving up from the S.E.
17mm here.

Just noticed temperature had dropped rapidly from 10.6C at 9.00am presumably as cold front passed through.

The rise in temperature before the front was almost as noteworthy as the drop itself. Just a small amount of rain as it moves through - enough to dampen the ground, briefly, but not enough to tip the gauge.

Appalling. Got to be the coldest late April day I've had since 1981.
Temperature just 6.0C

At least 16mm since about 5am but fizzled out an hour ago, and less cold than earlier when it was about 3C with wet snow flakes.
Water streaming everywhere it's a nightmare basically. Month now well over 100mm when our average is about 40mm for April.

On a break in Pickering, Yorkshire. Attempted to drive over the Moors to Whitby this morning. Got to near Goathland, had to turn back as the roads were flooded. The temperature was 3° with snow mixed in with the rain. Took the longer route via the A road, which whilst flooded in parts, didn't scare me like some of those roads on the Moors

12C with fleeting sun but gusty SW wind.
This is the first day to reach double figures since the 14th.
Two swallows appeared about 10 days later than normal.

Sunny and breezy with strong sunshine (it's as strong as mid-August).

16.7, dew 9.9, with a high so far of 16.9. Last night's low was 5.5, and came with a heavy dew!

It has been a month of two halves there - see April data for Fylingdales here

The warmer first half cancels out the colder second half and the average for the month of 7.0C is +0.1C from the 1991-2020 average for April.

1st to 14th: Mean min 5.6C Mean max 13.1C Overall mean 9.4C
15th to 29th: Mean min 1.9C Mean max 7.5C Overall mean 4.7C
Precipitation so far: 134.2mm compared to the 1991-2020 average of 69.2mm

Finally today was an actual proper Spring-like day with near unbroken sunshine all day and a peak of 15.9 C at 4 pm. Even though there was a bit of an onshore breeze, I sat outside in my famed west-facing front door porch for an hour in late afternoon.
