Looks like the forecast was a bust for the south today. It was never going to be as warm as north-western parts but I definitely saw a range of 13 to 19C forecast. Looking at tmaxes it would appear that most places have been more like 10 to 15C. Cloud cover has been the main factor

Yes got very chilly this afternoon after a fake warm up prior to lunch due unexpected overcast pollution.  The conservatory is a game changer and keeping us warm indoors all the time now.  2 small window opening and french doors since installation had not been opened since last week due to cold weather outside or use the garden at all.

Had to laugh at tonight's BBC forecast. Said we would notice a dramatic drop in temperatures tomorrow. Not in Essex and Kent. That statement is based on their predicted max of 19C for S.Essex and Kent which in reality were struggling to briefly make 15C in the mist and thick cloud that lingered all day.

It was warmer than that here - 16.8, and it was above 15C for 8 hours. The main thing was the mugginess, though, it's felt positively tropical the past couple of days!

It'll be nice to get back to normal, more refreshing dewpoints.

It's currently cloudy here, 9.8C, dew 8.6C (92% RH) with the low so far also being 9.8.

There was 0.2mm of rain overnight.

Light airs from the SW at 10C.
Cloudy, with the radar showing rain not far away, though I wouldn't be surprised if this misses us today.

Well I spent the whole day on Sheppey as it happens, 10.00am till 8pm to be precise. It was cloudy with low visibility on the higher ground towards the north and the sun didn't break through once. Out of the strong NW breeze it was not cold but I wore a vest, a shirt a jumper and  body warmer, walked three miles and was just pleasantly warm. I know you like the cold and warm to you is different to most people's but you must live in a very sheltered part of the Island. I don't know what the temperature was other than 14.4C in the rain as I left at 8pm. Max here, just 20 miles away was 15.4C at 17.45 when, apparently the sun broke through for a short while. Not my version of tropical.

Dull and damp (after 9.6 mm of rain fell overnight) as well as feeling cold at 11.2 C & high 80% H in a mod W breeze.

The underwhelming Spring of 2024 continues.

It was muggy as heck yesterday, which is why I made the comment that I did - I was out in the garden during the afternoon, hauling logs around to lay out a new pathway through the undergrowth, then clearing away the undergrowth along the path, and digging out brambles, so I really felt it. It was very sticky, even with only a light summer jacket (more for protection for my arms than to keep me warm) and a polo shirt. The joys of being in your 40s, y'see, you don't tend to feel cold! 😁

My weather station tells the tale: a Davis VP2 with fan-aspirated shield. There was a light breeze but it wasn't at all refreshing - "cold" would have been the last word on my mind yesterday! (And indeed, as the average high this time of year is 15 or 16, it really wasn't cold... with the humidity, even light exertion made it feel warm).

Sat out in the sheltered garden in fleeting sunny spells. I spotted a big cumulonimbus through the haze well to my SE. I checked the radar only to see that heavy showers have broken out over SE Scotland with quite a few lightning returns. Where did they come from?
The wind is less cold today although we are struggling to reach 13 C.
Must be some upper level feature coming across the North Sea? 🤔
