The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

There’s nothing normal about the vile temperatures shown on that chart unless it’s mid-October already.


Absolutely horrific and if that comes off it will be the nail in the coffin of yet another summer. It would mean a non-existent heatwave being followed by yet more execrable weekend weather that has come straight out of summer 2012

To be honest you don't want 30C when you are camping, especially at this time of year with the sun coming up at 4.30, the tent will be like an oven by 6am. I was camping in mid June last year when it hit 34C and my wife went into labour (possibly unrelated!)

My goodness, that is a horrendous chart for here - 15C highs in July would be a disaster. I hope and prey with every fiber of my body that doesn't come to pass!

I agree 30c is too hot for camping, watching F1, (or anything) but I just hope it doesn’t rain the first weekend in July, after all this lovely weather we’ve had!  The silverstone tickets are a 30th birthday present from her to him and he’s so looking forward to it!

I pitched a tent in dust at 38C last summer, in the Ardeche. Not pleasant at all. A few days later and down to 30C which felt fresh by comparison.

We are currently in credit vs 1995 as we’ve had a warmer drier May and June. Where 1995 broke away was with August. To my mind the breakdown after this hot spell and whether we see a quick reload is critical. If yes, then 2018 goes down as a good summer even if the school holidays are rubbish. If no, and July goes downhill (as some models suggest) then we rely on August to do the business.

Ireland deserved to see high temperatures as it so rare for them and for them to have a break from the Atlantic weather pattern.  One chart shown 34C in central Ireland.  Ireland is a big enough island to get those temps and break a record.

I just can't deal with excessive heat at all.
