Finally a blanket of snow overnight.
Only 2.5cm but looks pretty and it is all powdery.
Temp -0.8c
Areas to the north seem to have done much better as forecast by Euro4. However a few heavy ahowers scraped us so pleased.

Yes all in all a good event.

Nothing here, though wasn’t expecting any (despite at one point last night looking like we might just join in). I’m not too disappointed though... snow on Tuesday night was enough for a wintry covering and is still there over much of the garden.... enough for a snowball fight.

I’m thinking though, this past decade 2009-2019 has been particularly productive for snow for inland southern England (away from the far west and London). Around 10 decent widespread falls (3 inches or more) over that time I think.... compared to only 2 or 3 in the period 1992 to 2008.

Amazing scenes outside, there has been heavy/mod snow falling in Burnley and as Joe says not forcast for this area.  About three cm of lying snow and everything covered

Maybe 3-4cms here in Durham from overnight showers. Not a single road was gritted. Lovely.

Pretty decent show here - About  5- 6" and still snowing lightly.  Amber alert in force until 11. AM.  Glad I decide   to have a flexi day today as I think my commute over the downs would have been  "difficult".

Going out for a trudge  in a while.

Around 15cm here on the outskirts of Bristol. Still snowing with another 2 to 3 hours forecast.

Given we were in the 1 to 7cm band on the met forecast last night, all the more surprising.

0.5cm in Evesham overnight - and the first 9am ground cover (just!) of the winter.   Probably the last we'll see till 2020 too!

Woke up this morning to our first dusting of snow of this Winter.  Quite a decent snow shower coming through now.

Snow had stopped by the time I woke up at 7am. About 4cm on untreated roads, 8cm on the car roof. Up on the common 8-10cm widely which made it quite hard going on the bike. The extra 30m of elevation made a big difference with the snow much less wet up there. Still all slipping off the trees at a rapid pace but nice to see a decent covering.

15cms of lying snow this morning. Beast 1 gave us 21cms last year so this event has been pretty close!

Currently 0.2C which has been steady since yesterday late afternoon. Light cloud with the odd few flakes.

A good five or six inches out here in the sticks. Very decent indeed. Wettish, but should be properly sledgable on the decent slope beneath the village.
