At last we’ve had a bit of snow falling!  Not enough to give any cover and I’m not really expecting more but at least it looked nice as it fell for a few minutes.

Somewhat unexpectedly it is still snowing here near Chipping Norton. The radar even suggests that the blob of precipitation to the west of Oxford has started growing with density increasing again. What forces are at play to make this happen?

It's been drizzling here a bit this morning at +1.0C, but now the intensity has increased a bit, it's back to snow falling. Don't suppose it will have any impact on the depth, though, because there is a very slow thaw.

Meanwhile, Matty H, formerly of this parish, is claiming 20cm of snow in his back yard in Yate, South Gloucestershire:

Here in Exeter we still have the odd few flakes coming down in the wind. But snow melting and drip drip it is!?

How did Banbury do Marcus?

After all my endless moaning and whingeing, have to say we have the deepest snow cover since December 2010 here in Witney. 7 inches at its peak which is kind of unheard of for this neck of the woods.
Now I've had my fix, I couldn't care less about the rest of winter. The charts can do as they please. One very happy person here.
