An excellent piece that sums up Beckham's unimportance to top flight football in this country from a playing standpoint. That is not to say he doesn't remain important for the professional footballer's knacker's yard that is the MLS.

I dont see Becks improving an excellent Spurs side at all...tho lumping him on to put in a decent ball for another sub Crouch to head in would be the only benefit to this Spurs team... Arry can bang on how he would be good for the nippers and for the dressing room but Becks will only be there for a very sort period and this possble move could have a negative impact in unsettling the team.
Given that Becks seem to favour a return to London perhaps West Ham or Fulham would be a better option..? for both player and teams.
They're sure as hell still not all that convincing, but Man U are 3,5,8 and 9 points ahead of their nearest serious rivals, and with 2nd placed Man C and 3rd placed Arsenal playing tomorrow, anything other than a win for either of them will see a fair bit of daylight between 1st and 2nd with a minimum of 1 game in hand
I did a double take when I saw Whitehead had scored. He's hardly made a forward pass in his entire professional career.

Interesting table ranking the relative playing strengths of European football clubs - based on current and future expectations. I do find it rather odd that Milan are ranked way below Inter though.

The league odds are interesting as well
Robbie Keane to Birmingham for £7m subject to medical, according to SSN. I thought we'd only get get a maximum of £5m. OK, we've taken a hit on this but we're still £2m up overall due to having financially raped Liverpool.
It's turning into a very good night for Manchester United.
Arsenal and Man City draw, Chelsea lose, Spurs losing.
Surely Woy and Mr Ancelotti will both be out of jobs now? A great night for Man U unfortunately.

Yep, Woy must be a goner now. The prison guard is readying his key to take Woy to the execution chamber.
What about a hat-trick of sackings with Grant at West Ham as well?
And it's a good job that Houllier's only recently been appointed, because Villa are in the bottom three
Yes Grant has to go as well
Poor performance by Spurs tonight but I put that down to the players being knackered - a negative consequence of playing a high tempo game all the time.
Hopefully, we'll lose to Charlton in the Cup so the players can be rested for far more important endeavours and not be distracted by unecessary games.

Latest odds. Ancelotti making a late move..

Fecking abysmal, Liverpool
Got to feel for Gerrard. Hodgson is clueless and the team is so demoralised that he simply cannot turn things round.
From a MotD viewpoint, it seemed a realy entertaining game. Your lot deserved something out of it.
I can never fathom your foibles.
Little, inoffensive Preston North End? Steven Gerrard?
