I am asking why the police are outside also spreading the virus and killing people? Why are they not 'enforcing the law' on themselves? 


There is a nice way and a not so nice way to 'ask', and they choose the latter. They deserve no respect. 


Also, did you see that one cop violating the 2m 'social distancing rule'? He practically invaded the cameraman's personal space to show what a big man he is.

There can't be many places where you can't get to a better place to exercise in ten minutes than in your street I wouldn't have thought. So I agree the last paragraph is still unnecessary. People shopping is the real killer based on my experience at Asda click and collect this morning though!

My Mum is on warfarin for AT and heart failure. She has had a letter telling her to shield for 12 weeks but today I had to take her to the hospital for her INR test. I know some hospitals are sending out staff to do the tests at home but not here. It seems a bit crazy that the letter says she shouldn't even go out for exercise yet she has to take a trip to the hospital. I suppose they have no staff to send out.

I realise that for many people this lockdown is a horrible, frightening, claustrophobic and debilitating time. My heart goes out to anybody cooped up in a flat or a small house, with no or very little garden. It must be grim.


I feel very privileged to live where I do, with a large garden and thousands of acres of empty countryside around me. I no longer watch or listen to the No 10 briefings. I'm not tracking the numbers. I'm simply enjoying a period of peace and simplicity here. I don't care what happens with Brexit or who is in No10.


A very large part of me wants the lockdown to continue indefinitely.

Xioni mentions this a lot, but we are very lucky we have all this technology and internet to stay in touch virtually


And we are living through the golden age of TV - so many superb box sets and other programmes available to us. I still don't have the time to watch everything I want


Just starting on Killing Eve and Save Me too. And I haven't even begun on Belgravia yet

Have they looked at Apixaban for her? It is rapidly replacing Warfarin. No INR tests needed and in my and most cases no side effects whatsoever. GP's were reluctant to prescribe it on cost grounds but the price is falling as its use expands and of course if the NHS didn't look at the pills in isolation and factored in the costs of all the INR tests and clinics it would probably have been a saving overall!

I'm not in the countryside but I'm lucky enough to have a pretty big garden and a large patch of ancient woodland two minutes walk from my house. I've just been there for a stroll and heard nothing but birdsong. The other day while walking along the stream in there my daughter and I saw a kingfisher fly past us! 


For all the terrible news and anxiety I'm determined to appreciate the positives as much as I can.

We’re lucky in that we live in a small village with plenty of lovely walks nearby. We have a big garden so there’s plenty to keep me busy and there’s space for the kids to run around. I do though want the lockdown to end as soon as it is sensible to do so as I feel sorry for my kids that they’re not able to go to school and hang out with their friends. They do seem to be managing well though and they have the pleasure of me back in the role of headmaster next week.

However, despite all this, even I am managing to find certain aspects of this lockdown enjoyable. 


What I’m not enjoying is my lack of job security and not being able to see my family. I think it’s a mixed bag for most people to be honest.
