Raab’s five tests for the easing the lockdown in 3 weeks time are:
1). NHS can cope across the UK
2). Sustained fall in daily death rates

3). Rate of infection decreasing

4). Supply of testing and PPE able to meet demand

5). No risk of a 2nd peak
——-
4) is going to be a problem and 5) I would say is impossible.

I’d say yes AF can be a  very dangerous heart condition if left untreated as yours is treated and managed the risk is greatly reduced like medicines like metoprolol to control the heart rate

we can’t call heart conditions the so called normal at any stage of life weather that’s young or elderly.

It seems a bit crazy that the letter says she shouldn't even go out for exercise yet she has to take a trip to the hospital. I suppose they have no staff to send out.

I'm all for employee rights, but I'm hearing some bloody annoying stories of people taking the p*ss.

My missus works in admin for the NHS. It's only a small team she works on - 4 people. The manager's father (almost 90) died in February (not through CV); she's been off sick since then - two months. I know the death of a parent hits hard, but that is ridiculous, especially given how hard-pressed the NHS is at present. Worse, the manager's daughter is a nurse (and trained ICU nurse to boot) and she's been off the same length of time - because her near-90 year old grandfather has died. FFS!!! Then there is another team member who is now entering her 5th week of 'self isolation' because first she had a cough, then just as she was due back, her husband developed a cough, and this week after the expiry of another 14 days, her son's developed a cough so she says she's taking another 14 days.

My missus - who's not been there a year - apart from taking a day's hol off to extend Easter weekend, hasn't missed a day through this. Her other colleague lost her husband in January to a sudden heart attack and has an 11 year old lad (and two daughters in their 20's) and whilst she took 6 weeks off in the aftermath, this is pretty understandable in the circumstances, and she has returned and worked since.

R is below one in the community though they're not entirely confident it's low enough yet by the sounds of it another couple of weeks will help no doubt.

New York locking down for another month. Not sure how their lockdown compares to the ones in the UK and other parts of Europe.

You can apply for funding for a INR machine (still have his one in garage I can’t part with it) I had one and managed my boys from home I used to have a book and phone the readings in ever night it was up to me how much I gave him.
The hospital were happy with it once dad was trained and what to look out for in fact I did a better job.

Just something minor that’s annoying me and seems to have started today - why have they started calling the R0 (R Naught), the ‘R’?

UK police accuse this lad of 'killing people', yet there they are, outside themselves, moving about freely and dictating to others to 'go 'ome' and not killing people at all..

Way too many cars on the roads today - more than yesterday.
Surely all these aren’t essential workers and deliveries?
And I haven’t seen one police car stopping people and making enquires.
They need to tighten up on people bring out for non essential reasons.

That's why I agree with those who say it's going to be a slow incremental easing. The government will need at least 4-6 weeks after making any changes to see the effect because of the multiplier/exponential.

I’d still say yes imo taking AC is not normal either but I do understand your point of view.

You seem to have an issue with the police enforcing the law. If you don't like the law it's really not the police you should be whinging about, is it?

I've now asked for refunds for my train tickets up to and including 7/5. I still have tickets for weeks beginning 11/5, 18/5, 25/5, 1/6 but I do wonder if I'll be asking for these to be refunded too.

It's all money going back in my account.

There is a nice way and a not so nice way to 'ask', and they choose the latter. They deserve no respect.

Also, did you see that one cop violating the 2m 'social distancing rule'? He practically invaded the cameraman's personal space to show what a big man he is.
