So far as UK travellers are concerned, even if such rules aren't applied; the country people want to travel to is more likely to apply quarantine rules for incoming Brits, or prevent them entering.

But isn't that starting from the premise that you 'need' clothes, as opposed to fancy buying something new to wear?

If you want 30c and sunshine turn up the heating and buy a sunbed....

Given that the week ahead looks changeable, I would imagine there will be far fewer people outside socialising. Whether that has an effect on the new cases in a couple of weeks remains to be seen!

Darren said that Kent gets 30c and sun every summer; not for weeks and weeks on end it doesn't. And the sea around the UK never gets anything like warm.

For my holiday, I want to be almost guaranteed hot and sunny. Days where you can't bear being in the sun for that long and need to jump in the pool for a bit, then dry in minutes in the sun when you get out, before repeating the process. All lubricated by copious alcohol, before going out to a nice eatery on a night in shorts and shirt, before returning late and it still being well into the 20's.

My two favourite places in the world are Devon and the Lake District, and in Devon especially we've had some days where the temp's been in the late 20's and it's been fantastic (still a cold sea!). But far more days have been a chilly 20c or below, with many days having at least some horrible rain.

No doubt children contribute to increasing the R value

Debate around the world about what contribution do children make to the spread of the virus between families - no data to currently help us.

If children go back to school how much closer to 1( R ) or even tip us above 1 .

Just wondering if the above is enough for the government to keep children off schools until September ?
