Heathrow dead on 33.0C at 12 noon. The 25 July 2019 figure was 33.7 so not too far off.

I can never figure it out. For example the iPhone app says 32C currently for Yateley but 31C for London.

The nearest station to me is Farnborough which was 30.7C at midday. Nowhere was reading 32C that I can see, but St James's Park in London was 31.6 and Heathrow 33. It's a bit of a mystery...

Wind seems to be picking up very slightly here but still light. It's 30.8C...

(That said, with potentially another 5+ hours of heating to go, it's already ahead of where it was yesterday and that ended up with a 35.3 max.)

Watching this thread with fascination. We usually get a few 40c+ days each year and the odd day around 45c here in Perth, Western Australia. Of course above 40c is hot, but bearing in mind we often have dew points below 0c. So to see the dew points around 20c combined with those temperatures in the low 30’s over there... well you can keep it. Looks flamin horrible. 

The depoints are dropping somewhat through the day, eg Heathrow 33/14 and Gatwick 33/15. 

Lydd is 30C with a dewpoint of 21C though 

We just had a heavy shower. We stepped outside and it was almost like being in Singapore: a wall of heat and humidity. Really unusual for here.

It was showing slightly higher figures yesterday too, reaching a max of 32C, but in the evening the figures were dropping faster than the other stations around here, and was showing 22C at 9 pm where other stations were 24/25C. Odd.

This is a fairly rural location in the upper Test Valley, so maybe the sheltered position is reflected in those temperatures?

32.2C here and continuing to rise steadily. Clear blue skies for the first time this week after some cloud early this morning. Today will probably be the temperature peak here as more cloud likely tomorrow. Meteopro app has updated to show 34C today and 30C tomorrow. It is going to be exceptionally hot here this afternoon.

Peak to beat from 31 July is 34.5C. Peak in July last year was 35.8C.

33.4c @ 13:00, cumulus clouds developing but only of the fair weather type.

Make that 33.7C at LHR at 1pm.

Shame we missed yesterday's max, it was probably >36C.

I wonder if anyone at the Met Office pursued it. Maybe the data was lost. Would be really annoying if it was close to an all-time record!

Similar temp here, 31.9 but the dewpoint is down to 11C.

Tropical dewpoint's typically range in the 24C-26C but can be even higher.
