I wonder what sort of team SAF will field today........given that Man U will have a weakened defence might he be tempted into an attacking line up in the hope that will simply outscore Liverpool?

Rooney and Berbatov start up front, apparently.

Mostly Liverpool so far. They really have to fancy their chances today - Wes Brown is playing!

Luis Suarez wasn't good enough for Spurs, according to Redknapp. No, of course not, he's only just gone and waltzed his way through the Manure back four.

To be fair that isn't so much as defence as four randon blokes who've only just been introduced.

In fact for a moment I thought Grayson had lent Ferguson our defence.

Good stuff by Liverpool. Man Utd look like this is a game that they want out of the way before sealing the deal over the next few games.

I was hoping for a bit of Celtic v Rangers stuff, but sadly it calmed down.

Having looked at it Carragher should be arrested let alone sent off. and terrible by the number 17 before Rafael's booking. Arguably should be 9 v 11.

And another assist for Suarez. Harry Redknapp really is a twunt.

Best I've seen Liverpool play this season, worst I've seen Manure play this season. I doubt either will occur again this season.

:Tempting fate mode: Mind you, the way Arsenal and United have contrived to drop points recently it could yet end up being a 5-team battle for the title, although this is still unlikely.

Wolves 1up , that 4th place really is up for grabs, what price Liverpool for nicking it??

Hutton lucky to stay on the pitch; should have been a straight red. 2-2 at half time, Wolves playing better. My bet about Defoe going a whole season without scoring is now well and truly buggered.

Spurs 3-2 up , Wolves just hit the post

Wolves get back to 3-3, 2 mins left , it could really be 5-5

Bad result. Our second half performance should have taken us through.

I think Chelsea are the only team who can pip Man U to the title. Arsenal and city too inconsistent but Chelsea are coming into form at the perfect time.

Two valuable points dropped but to be fair Wolves were more than worth their share of the spoils.  The only bright spots was the return of Gareth Bale and three (yes THREE) goals from our strikers fr what must be the first time this season!!!  Let's just hope were a bit tighter at the back coem Wednesday!!!

That's certainly a balanced conclusion, Simon.

In my view, both the Carragher and Rafael 'tackles' were straight red offences (and the Rodriguez thing nothing more than a glancing scrape in a bouncing ball situation - something goes unpunished every week) but seeing as the non-sendings off evened themselves out and the teams were allowed to carry on with 11 against 11, it was for the benefit of the game as a whole.

Top result... just a pity Arsenal cocked it up (albeit with the intervention of awful decisions by the officials)

On a final note, funny to [not] see Baconface being a big baby. That numpty needs bringing down a peg or ten; he really does think he's bigger than the game itself.

Yesterdays result and the 2nd half performance against Chelsea shows the need for SAF to strengthen his team. Carrick has been given a new contract yet rarely has he performed of the standard required over the last 2 seasons. Vidic and Ferdinand were missed and SAF needs to look at purchasing another top class centre half as Smalling is still a bit raw and Ferdinand is spending too much time on the treatment table, VDS will need replacing and likewise the midfield situation will need sorted out, too many central midfielders with little invention or goals. Have to say i am not overly impressed with the names that have been mentioned as possible summer signings.....all good young players but none that are established top flight stars !

Liverpool were clearly the better side, but I think the Carragher tackle was a little worse than the Rafael one, I'm not sure it would have made a difference in the end as Man U looked poor and without ideas.

Still plenty of legs in this yet and with Arsenal AND Chelsea to play again, Man City and perhaps even Chelsea are still in the race.
