Don’t worry Jiries it’s only June, summer of to a good start 32 /33C looks to be the max today record very safe which in a way I’m happy about as I remember 1976 riding about on a fast RD350 In the heat and sunshine
Anyway ARPEGE goes 33c

I wonder why the unexpected clouds roll in from the west as we are getting heat from the south? In the past we get clear skies and drier air from the south or SE flow and wall to wall hot sunshine. Miss the old days seeing the word Hot, dry and sunny forecasts.

A new meteorological term perhaps? A discreet Jirean upper trough. The convection was very high up and upper winds pushed it W-E. Similar thing happened yesterday across the Midlands.

Yesterday evening the clouds were actually moving slightly southwards, strange during a plume event! I did feel a few drops of rain at around 9.30-10pm. The models have certainly dialled back the temperatures a bit more today. 32C looks the highest on UKV and Arpege has a couple of 33s in East Anglia.

So far this morning 21.8C at the vineyard at 8.15am vs 18.9C at the same time yesterday, and 17.8C at the same time on Wednesday. We maxed at 27 yesterday so perhaps we are on for 30C today.
Yes quite alot of high cloud so far in the south. I'm in central London atm and its sunny but very hazy.

In contrast to what I was expecting, it's a beautiful day here with haze free blue skies. It's only forecast to read 22, but I suspect it will be warmer and in the strong sunshine it will certainly feel vey warm.
24.1c here now which is very warm for the time of day, rarely ever warmer by this stage, but unfortunately we won't reach more than 27ish before it cools off.
25.5c in my area.
2 in LCY.Already 37C in Perpignan. The places to watch today are Languedoc up into Western France. Tomorrow the heat shifts East a tad - could see a Saturday 39 or 40C near Paris/Orleans, then on Sunday 40C is possible somewhere like Vichy or Lyon.
They are very lucky as the heat does not go away and we get the last of the heat then first to go? That wrong in the 90's was fair and square for here as we get the heat last then we finish the heat last as well because NW Europe already cooled down with thunderstorms that move to UK and end in Scotland. Every heatwave ended from the south instead of boring west based that bring cloud, rain and cool temps so no thunderstorms.
Heathrow 30.3c at noon
Only 25 here with a lovely breeze. Looks like we will undershoot the MetO forecast.
Really don't want it to go any higher anyway.
